02/28/17St. Anne's Pancake Feed and Open HouseSt. Anne's Episcopal Church invites...St. Anne's Episcopal Church invites everyone to come to the parish's annual Shrove Tuesday pancake feed from 5-7 pm February 28th. Come fill up on the church's nearly famous pancakes and sausage, all for the price of a free will offering. Proceeds will help fund the parish's various ministries. 03/03/17Pre-school screeningThe Early Childhood program and...The Early Childhood program and McPherson County Special Education Cooperative will hold a preschool screening March 3rd 8:30-11:30 am at the First Presbyterain Church 1400 N. Main in McPherson. These screenings are for children up to the age of 5 and tests hearing, vision, motor skills, and other areas of childhood development. Services are free of charge, however a custodial paret must give their permission for the child to be screened. Appointments are requested. Call the Early Childhood Center at 620-241-9590.
03/04/17McPherson County Historical Society monthly meetingThe McPherson County Historical Society...The McPherson County Historical Society will meet at 2 pm Saturday, March 4th at the McPherson Museum, 1111 E. Kansas Ave. This months program will be be given by anthropologist Mike Wallen, Lindborg on early Spanish Explorers in Kansas. Mike will have a power point program showing some of the photographs of the landscapes he thinks were described in a diary kept in the 1700's by one of the explores. Mike has traveled to Mexico City to research and translate the original written work housed in a museum there. All interested person are invited to attend at no cost or membership. Haulin' Away Cancer benefit is sponsered by Karyson Loving Arms and will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church 520 Northview in McPherson. There will be a Bake Sale, Homemade Cinnamon rolls, a raffle and Silent Auction. Cost for the Baked Potato Bar and Chili feed is a free will donation.
