06/29/18Mel Alexander Retirement Open HouseNRCS, FSA and the McPherson...NRCS, FSA and the McPherson County Conservation District are hosting a retirement open house for Mel Alexander from 1-3 pm on Friday, June 29 in the office conference room at 200 S. Centennial in McPherson. Mel is retiring from 30 years of dedicated service to NRCS, 15 of them in McPherson, where he worked with local landowners and operators to design, implement and obtain program funding for various conservation practices. Please join us that afternoon to thank him and wish him a very happy retirement.
06/30/18McPherson Police Department Bike RodeoMcPherson Police Department Bicycle Rodeo-...McPherson Police Department Bicycle Rodeo- 8:00 a.m. – 12 p.m. McPherson First Baptist Church, 600 E. Marlin. Hosted by Safe Kids of McPherson County Kansas. Free to attend for McPherson area students ages 5-11. To reserve a spot, McPherson Police Facebook page.   Participants will learn bicycle safety rules, have bicycle safety inspected, go through a helmet fitting station and go through a road course. Adults are encouraged to stay and even ride along on the road course.

07/21/18109th annual MCDS Ride for Independence MCDS Poker RunThe 10th annual Ride For...The 10th annual Ride For Independence MCDS Poker Run will be held July 21th. Starting point is at the MCDS Corporate Offices 2107 Industrial Drive in McPherson. Reigistration is at 8 am. $25 single rider, $45 rider and passenger $10 extra Poker hand. Purchase tickets atwww.mcds-ks.org. Proceeds benefit programs and supports persons served through MCDS with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
