LINDSBORG — Tre’Von Rucker will be leaving the big city of Tulsa to join the Bethany College basketball family in Lindsborg.
Rucker, a 5-10 guard, played at Union High School. He scored 10.5 points a game and handed out a whopping 8.3 assists. He also shot 81 percent from the free throw line, 50 percent from the floor and 33 percent from 3-point.
"We are pleased to have Tre'Von join Bethany basketball and continue his education at Bethany College," Swede coach Clair Oleen said. "Tre'Von is a super young man from a special family. We are excited about helping him reach his goals as a pre-law student here at Bethany."
Oleen said Rucker makes everybody around him better.
“Tre'Von is an exceptional passer who sees the floor very well,” Oleen said. “He can also shoot the ball well. Besides passing, another extraordinary asset Tre'Von possesses are his leadership skills and always being a great teammate."
Tre'Von is the son of Lloyd and Courtney Hill. He had a 3.5 high school grade point average.
