The McPherson Public Library will be undergoing computer upgrades and staff training next week, which means closing up shop for one day.

According to a press release from the library, they are upgrading their Polairs library system, which hosts the catalog, as well as providing such necessary functions as checking in and out itmes and placing holds on materials. This will force the library to close Tuesday to accommodate the upgrade and train staff on the new system.

The new software is projected to increase the efficiency of the library system and provide some new, unspecified features as well.

The library will reopen on Wednesday.
