If you are on Medicare and are finding yourself having troubles paying for your prescriptions, the McPherson County K-State Extension office may be able for Extra Help...

“It's very simple to do it,” Jana McKinney, McPherson County Family and Consumer Sciences Agent, said. “It doesn't intrude into your privacy very much and it would help reduce the premiums and deductibles and the co-pays. And you would have no coverage gap.”

McKinney adds that, through Extra Help, you can also sign up for Medicare Part D without fear of penalty.

“You are eligible to change your plan, you have an open season all year round,” McKinney said. “Just lots of great opportunities and benefits through the Extra Help program.”

You can get more information on Extra Help by calling the McPherson County Extension Office at 241-1523 or by stopping by 600 West Woodside in McPherson.
