OTTAWA — Former McPherson High football standout Zach Lanning has been selected to the 2015 USA College Football NAIA Preseason All-America first team.
Lanning, a junior defensive lineman, was a first-team KCAC pick last season. He had 55 tackles in 2014, including 18 solos and 37 assists.
Ottawa coach Kent Kessinger told Midkansasonline.com last week at KCAC Football Media Day that Lanning would be the Braves’ top player this season.
Lanning will be back in McPherson on Oct. 10 when the Bulldogs host the Braves.
