Registrations are due as soon as possible for the When Pigs Fly Food Fest this week if you plan on competing.
Jeff Smith with the McPherson Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee says that competitors in the Anything Goes Peoples Choice Food Contest can precook their entries.
“So you can have plenty of it on hand,” Smith said. “The Ag Committee, we will provide little sampling cups for each group of contestants and the cups will sell for $1" apiece.”
Additionally, Smith says that tickets will be sold for the food fest, which will be your currency out at the airport.
“That will not only be for the Anything Goes contest, but also for all the food vending,” Smith said.
Events start Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m. with a Kiwanis pancake feed. The food fest opens at 10:30 a.m., with judging results to be announced at 3 p.m.
Registrations can be picked up at the McPherson Chamber of Commerce.
