A McPherson woman was jailed Thursday after scratching and kicking McPherson Police officers.

McPherson Police and McPherson County Sheriff's deputies were called to a civil standby just before 5:30 p.m. in the 300 block of South Chestnut. According to Assistant Police Chief Mike Terry, while they were on-scene, 28-year-old Kathleen Setzer then broke a windshield on a nearby vehicle. When officers confronted her, she scratched one hard enough to draw blood and then kicked a second in the shin.

Setzer was arrested on two counts of batter of a law enforcement officer, criminal damage to property and interference of a law enforcement officer.

She was released from the McPherson County Jail after posting a $1,345 bond.
