McPherson College’s 3 p.m. men’s soccer game here Saturday against University of Science and Arts has been selected as the NAIA Network Game of the Week, presented by Stretch Internet.

The Game of the Week highlights member schools that utilize live video-streaming with Stretch Internet. The contest was selected by the NAIA Communications and Sports Information Department.

USAO is ranked No. 18 in the country and McPherson College is No. 24.

The Bulldogs, who open their season Thursday at Benedictine, won the KCAC regular-season and Postseason Tournament championships last year.  McPherson was edged by No. 6 Grand View in the first round of the national tournament.

The Drovers will enter the match with a 1-1 record as they started the year with a 3-2 loss to Our Lady of the Lake and then rebounded with a 1-0 victory over Houston-Victoria two days later.

Last year, the Drovers defeated new KCAC member Oklahoma Wesleyan in the opening round of nationals, but then lost to Grand View.

Both teams return a number of high-profiled standouts.
