Inman, C-G, ECS harriers open at Tescott

TESCOTT — Area schools Inman, Canton-Galva and Elyria Christian were all in competition Thursday in the season-opening Tescott Cross Country Invitational.

“Overall I was pleased with the starting of the racing season,” Inman coach Jay Parsons said. “I saw some things that if I can communicate to the runners and get them to understand, we will become better runners and hopefully a competitive team.”

Renner, Michael and Urwiller all medaled on the day. Renner, a state qualifier last year, is expected to be one of 2A’s better runners

Great days were turned in by Wiens, Toews and Maddie Snow. The Eagle boys were fourth in the team standings, one spot behind Inman.
