Rough night for KCAC football teams

Ouch.

The KCAC didn’t do itself any favors in bolstering its football reputation Saturday as it went 1-8 in the KCAC-GPAC Challenge, while in the only non-challenge game, the result was more of the same to complete a 1-9 weekend.

Kansas Wesleyan saved the KCAC from being shut out by knocking off Midland University, 55-37.

The rest of the games were “Ls,” though some of them were very close. The scores:

• Dakota Wesleyan 23, Ottawa 22

• Northwestern College 9, Tabor 7

• Hastings 33, Bethel 29

• Briar Cliff 27, Saint Mary 13

• Nebraska Wesleyan 27, Friends 17

• Doane College 54, McPherson College 7

• Morningside 77, Sterling 17

• Concordia 31, Southwestern 10

• Houston Baptist 51, Bethany 7 (non-KCAC-GPAC game)
