SALINA — Bethany College’s volleyball team split its four matches in the Kansas Wesleyan Invitational over the weekend.

The Swedes started 0-2 on Saturday with losses to Peru State (3-0) and Graceland (3-0), but stormed back Sunday to defeat Haskell (3-1) and Bacone (3-0).

“It was good to see them rebound after the losses and come back unfazed and playing hard,” Bethany coach Cheri Lindsay said.

Kill leader — Carli Vanshotz, 30

Dig leader — Conner Stolley, 54

Assist leader — Leila Whaley, 49

Bethany is 4-3 on the season and hosts Ottawa on Wednesday. The Swedes are 1-0 in the KCAC.
