The annual youth fall basketball league, under the guidance of the McPherson High coaching staff, begins on Sunday at the Roundhouse.

Anyone attending the opening session will receive a free ticket to the Harlem Ambassadors, who will be performing that evening at 6:00 in the Roundhouse.

The youth league is for boys and girls in grades K-8 and is to improve one’s basketball skills in the basic fundamentals.

In addition to skills being taught, participants will take part in games, with the beginners using the 8-foot goals. Coaches will be providing on-court instruction as they teach the game the right way.

Times are:

1:00 — Boys K-2, Girls K-3

2:00 — Boys 3-5, Girls 4-6

3:00 — Boys 6-8, Girls 7-8

The league will be held Sept. 13, Sept. 27, Oct. 4 and Oct. 11. The fee to attend one session is $20, two sessions $30, three sessions $40 and four sessions $50.
