HUTCHINSON — McPherson Middle School’s cross country team competed Tuesday in the Hutchinson Invitational.

“For the eighth-graders this was their first meet to run two miles and it was a challenge for some,” MMS coach Gentry Nixon said. “They are only going to get better. This was a bigger meet for them, but the ‘Pups stood out with some gutsy finishes.”

The seventh-grade girls had the top performance of the day, taking third place. Kassidy Beam (4th) and Lexi Kynston (10th) were in the Top 10.
