All McPherson High’s blazing start to the volleyball season did was drop it one spot in the Kansas Volleyball Association rankings announced this morning.

The Bullpups, 9-1, fell from No. 4 to No. 5.

Bishop Miege, Topeka Hayden, Abilene and Louisburg are all ahead of the Bullpups.

Rose Hill, MHS’ opponent here Tuesday, is No. 6, with the other team in next week’s triangular, Andale, No. 7.

Wamego, Hays and DeSoto round out the Top 10.

Hesston is ranked No. 2 in Class 3A behind Silver Lake. Smoky Valley broke into the Class 4A Division II rankings this week at No. 8.
