The Folds of Honor Foundation was the big winner during Monday’s Patriot Golf Day Tournament at Turkey Creek, which drew 64 players.

The foundation will be receiving $3,500 from Turkey Creek, according to the course's PGA professional John Hastert.

Patriot Golf Day is the flagship fundraiser for the Folds of Honor Foundation, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. This organization was founded by Major Dan Rooney, an F-16 fighter pilot and a PGA professional.

More than 5,000 golf courses across the nation participate in this event, raising millions of dollars. The monies from this foundation are used to provide postsecondary education for the children and spouses of men or women disabled or killed while serving our great nation.

Hastert said the hole sponsors, veterans and patrons contributed to making this a tremendous fundraiser.
