ELYRIA — Elyria Christian School’s volleyball team is off to an 0-3 start.

The Eagles have lost to Wichita Home School, Centre and Goessel.

“After graduating three starting seniors from last year's team, we are a young squad this season,” ECS coach Roger ONeal said. “We have played seven ladies in our rotation composed of two seniors, one junior, three sophomores and one freshman. We have a great group of 10 young ladies out this season and we are continuing to improve each practice.”

The team goes to Solomon this weekend for tourney play.

“Our goal for this season is to improve in each match we play,” ONeal said. “We play in the Solomon tournament Saturday against Solomon, Wakefield, Tescott, Peabody-Burns and Inman. This will give us a good challenge to continue to improve.”
