EL DORADO — McPherson High’s football team was probably more than just an interested spectator on Sunday when Augusta and El Dorado finally played their game that was postponed on Friday due to a reported terroristic threat that could not be confirmed.
Augusta, which comes to McPherson Stadium on Friday, turned more than a few heads with a 40-6 pummeling of the Wildcats. The Orioles will bring a 2-0 record into town, while the Bullpups are 1-1 after their 29-8 loss to Andale on Friday.
The Bullpups certainly learned that Raif Heit will be player to watch as he scored four touchdowns to lead the Orioles’ offense. He finished with 89 yards on 23 carries, while the Orioles picked up another 150 through the air.
