Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States, and the McPherson Public Library is holding a pair of workshops to help you better protect yourself.

The library will host identity theft workshops led by Frank Taylor of Library Benefit Consultants both today and on Sept. 22. Taylor will discuss the major types of identity theft and provide strategies you can use to protect your personal information.

The workshops, which will be 45 minutes long, will start at noon today and then at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 22.
