BROOKVILLE — Canton-Galva’s volleyball team came away with a split on Tuesday.

The Eagles lost in straight sets to Remington (22-25, 8-25), but stormed back to defeat Ell-Saline (25-14, 26-24).

“We did a lot of things well tonight, one of those being serving,” C-G coach Kaitlyn Bressie said. “Between the two matches, we served 95 percent as a team. We came out aggressive against Remington in the first set, but fell just short. We weren't consistent in the second set and the score showed it. We found that consistency for our match against Ell-Saline, and we got a good win for our first league win of the season."

The Eagles are now 4-6 and on the road Tuesday to Bennington.
