STERLING — Central Christian College’s women’s soccer team lost for only the second time time season on Tuesday with a 4-1 setback to KCAC member Sterling.

The Warriors raced to a 3-1 halftime lead, with the only goal for the Lady Tigers by Krystina Stackhouse, off a pass from Marianna Mercer.

The Warriors scored the only goal of the second half as Central fell to 4-2.

“We dug ourselves another hole in the first half and this time weren't able to climb out,” CCC coach Scott Fogarty said. “It's been a continual theme to our games. We weren't as flat coming out as in the past two games, but we weren't good either and going directly into heavy winds didn't help our cause."

Central is home Saturday to take on Harris-Stowe State University at 2 p.m.
