McPherson College’s volleyball team is still looking for its first KCAC win after dropping a grueling five-set match to conference newcomer Oklahoma Wesleyan Wednesday night at the Sport Center.
The Bulldogs were in position to win the match after winning the first and third sets, but the Eagles prevailed in the final two to head home with the victory.
Wesleyan wound up triumphing 21-25, 25-22, 18-25, 25-17, 15-6.
Taryn Lee led the Bulldogs in kills with 15, while Lexi Kite added 10. Rhianna Smith and Maci Schlehuber notched 18 and 17 assists, respectively, and Emily Warner hustled to 22 digs, with Kite adding 11.
Mac is now 0-3 in the conference and has lost 10 of its last 11 matches after starting the year 2-0. The Bulldogs will try to turn things around on Saturday at Bethel.
