For once, McPherson College’s men’s soccer team didn’t play a ranked opponent.

The Bulldogs, who have played a brutal preseason schedule, looked more like their old selves here Wednesday, powering their way to a 4-0 halftime lead before settling for a 5-0 victory over Manhattan Christian College.

Jesus Pescador scored the first two goals. Christopher Kelly also scored two goals, with Greg Roller tallying the other. Roller also had two assists, while Omar Perez had two as well. Brayam DeLaCruz had the other.

The Bulldogs totally dominated the game by firing off 28 shots to just 10 for Manhattan Christian. Aaron Parrott picked up the shutout in goal.

The Bulldogs are now 2-3 and play Saturday at Mid-America Christian University.
