MHS harriers compete at Buhler

BUHLER — McPherson High’s cross country teams finished back in the pack Thursday in the Buhler Invitational despite some nice personal achievements.

“The kids ran well today despite some seriously hot-and-windy conditions,” McPherson coach Gentry Nixon said. “We even had a handful turn in a personal best and a few more who were pretty close to one. The Buhler course was as challenging as usual, so that makes those personal bests even more awesome.”

The highlight of the day was the JV girls’ team taking second place. Both varsity teams finished in seventh.

MHS will be home on Thursday for its annual invitational at Rolling Acres Golf Course.
