BENNINGTON — It was a terrific night for Canton-Galva’s volleyball team as it swept its two matches during a quad hosted by Bennington.

The Eagles won both matches in straight sets, defeating Inman (25-21, 25-16) and Berean (25-16, 25-8). They did not play Bennington.

“Tonight, as a team, we played consistently,” C-G coach Kaitlyn Bressie said. “We served 94 percent as a team and our back-row play was solid. Our offense was definitely led by our middles, Cassidy Enns and Emily Ballantyne, partly in thanks to assists from our setters, Zoe Unruh and Kelli Nightingale. Our middles found a way to come up with big plays several times. Overall, I'm very happy with the way we played as a team."

C-G competes in the Herington Invitational on Saturday.
