The McPherson Police Department is asking you to say something if you see something following several reports of an individual trying to abduct local students.

According to a post on their Facebook page, the MPD has not received any abduction reports, attempted or otherwise, though they have had a couple of reports of suspicious activity near a couple of the city's schools. In these incidences, students reported to their principals that an unfamiliar vehicle was driving in the area of the school slowly.

The department says the two incidences appear unconnected, as the information provided involved different descriptions.

McPherson Police officials are asking the public not to spread unconfirmed or exaggerated information which may incite panic and to call the MPD at 245-1200 or McPherson County Dispatch at 245-1266 if you see something suspicious.
