MANHATTAN — Central Christian College’s volleyball team continued its remarkable turnaround season on Friday by sweeping Ozark Christian College and Manhattan Christian College.

With the two wins, the Lady Tigers are now 12-5.

Central had little trouble with Ozark Christian, winning 25-11, 25-12, 25-17. Haley Bannister was tops in kills with 16, Hannah Crandall notched 27 assists and Ciarra Costello was credited with 11 digs.

Central also made quick work of Manhattan Christian, 25-15, 25-10, 25-19. Bannister had 12 more kills, Crandall had 32 assists along with 14 digs, and Ciara Costello was tops in digs with 18.

“It's tough to beat a team (Manhattan Christian) twice in a year, let alone sweep them on their home floor," CCC coach Christina Ludwick said. “But our girls came out and dictated the game from the start. I'm proud of their performance in both matches, especially sophomore Makalyn Tuttle, who had a career night for us tonight."

Central, 6-1 in its last seven matches, will find out how truly good it is Tuesday when it travels to Concordia, Neb., to play 18th-ranked Concordia University.
