MHS JVs soar by Rockets

ROSE HILL — McPherson High’s JV football team scored a touchdown in each of the four quarters Monday night to deal Rose Hill a 28-6 setback.

Gunnar Reiss sprinted 35 yards for the first MHS score, then flipped a 2-point pass to Caleb Spaich to make it 8-0.

Reiss again found paydirt in the second period on a 2-yard run as MHS led 14-0 at the half.

Andrew Powell charged in from 10 yards in the third quarter and Mendez completed the scoring with a 6-yard scamper in the final period, which was capped by a Reiss-to-Spaich 2-point pass.

MHS is home on Monday to play El Dorado.
