LEAVENWORTH — McPherson College’s volleyball team can finally exhale.
The Bulldogs ended a 12-match losing streak on Wednesday when they went on the road to defeat Saint Mary in a four-setter (25-15, 25-22, 24-26, 25-13).
It also was the Bulldogs’ first KCAC win after starting conference play with seven straight losses.
Taryn Lee came up with 10 kills, while Jessica Sanders and Leia Seiler were one behind. Rhianna Smith did a good job distributing with 20 assists, while Maci Schlehuber added 17. Emily Warner was the dig leader with 22, while Molly Kelley had her best match of the year with 12.
Mac, which moved to 4-14 overall, goes across town to Central Christian College on Saturday for a triangular. The city showdown starts at 11 a.m., then the Bulldogs play College of the Ozarks at 1 p.m.
Mac then returns to KCAC play on Monday at Ottawa.
