9th-graders trample El Dorado

McPherson’s ninth-grade football team so dominated El Dorado here on Monday that running clock became employed midway through the third quarter.

The Bullpups went on to trounce the Wildcats, 52-14.

MHS scored 22 points in the first quarter and added 14 in the second period to lead 36-6 at the half before cruising from there.

Jace Kinnamon rushed for two touchdowns (9 and 27 yards) and caught a 4-yard pass from Kyler Hoppes for a third. He also rumbled in for a 2-pointer.

Hoppes also threw two more TD passes on the day, one of 50 yards to Taylin Huff and another of 72 yards to Chandler Wiard.

Honestee Whittker ran 50 yards for a score and tallied three times on 2-pointers.

Cade Harris completed the touchdown scoring with a 16-yard run. Gabe Hoover added a 2-pointer.

The Bullpups are home on Monday to take on Winfield.
