It was more of the same in the McPherson High JV football game against El Dorado here Monday.

After the freshmen had rolled to an easy win over the Wildcats, the JVs followed suit with a 42-8 rout.

MHS scored 34 points in the first half and then filtered in players throughout the second half.

It was a good night for Gunnar Reiss, who threw a 37-yard TD pass to Caleb Spaich and later ran for TDs of 5 and 30 yards. He also ran for a pair of 2-pointers.

Andrew Powell and Michael Mendez had TD runs, while Brian Puhalla returned a fumble for another score. Mendez had a 2-point rush as well.

MHS hosts Winfield on Monday.
