The McPherson City Commission gave their OK Monday to the issuance of Economic Revenue Bonds related to the construction of a training facility by Kansas Municipal Utilities at the intersection of Avenue A and Centennial Drive.
“We've been talking about this for quite some time now,” Gregory said. “We need to issue revenue bonds in the amount of $3.3 million to KMU. The plan is to go to sale October 14.”
City Administrator Nick Gregory, who added that there is a 10-year property tax abatement included in the ordinance.
The commission approved the issuance of the Economic Revenue Bonds unanimously.
