The McPherson Middle School volleyball teams are giving back to the community.

On Monday, Oct. 12, the MMS seventh- and eighth-grade teams will be sponsoring a food drive during its match with Maize South at the middle school gym.

Fans who attend the match are asked to bring cans of food in place of an admission fee. The fee normally is $2 for students and $4 for adults, but each can of food will be worth a dollar off the admission. For example, adults who bring four cans get into the matches free.

“All of the cans we receive will go to the McPherson County Food Bank. The volleyball team thanks you in advance for your generosity,” eighth-grade team representative Andrea Sweat said.
