HOPE — Elyria Christian School’s volleyball team took two opponents to the limit on Tuesday, but came up short in the third set of both.

The Eagles lost to Rural Vista (11-25, 25-21, 21-25) and Solomon (25-23, 21-25, 18-25).

“One positive takeaway was that we rebounded from not playing good volleyball in the first set to force a third set, even though we lost the third set,” ECS coach Roger O’Neal said. “This was the first time all season we played three sets and it happened with both opposing teams. And pushing Solomon to three sets was the best we have played them all season.”

The Eagles play Friday at Flint Hills Christian.
