DERBY — It was a clean sweep for McPherson’s eighth-grade volleyball team on Thursday as the Bullpups dominated Derby North in Pioneer League action.
The A-team improved to 4-14 with a 25-12, 25-13 domination.
“I was proud of the energy the girls brought tonight,” MMS coach Jacque Gehrt said. “They played really well as a team and celebrated each point. We now have one week left, so hopefully they can continue to improve and play to their potential.”
The B-team was a 25-10, 25-17 victor as it is now 6-11 on the season.
“The girls did a great job with serving aggressive tonight,” MMS coach Aimee McDaniel said. “They also played with a lot of enthusiasm. They worked very hard in practice this week, and it definitely showed in their play on the court.”
MMS will host Maize South on Monday. For each can of food brought in, patrons will receive a dollar off their admission. For adults, four cans of food will get you in free. All cans will be donated to the McPherson Food Bank.
