LINDSBORG — Bethany College’s defense gave up 552 yards on Saturday in a 37-34 loss to Sterling, but the performance by Swede defensive end Freddie Frazier was too good to ignore.
Frazier was named the KCAC Defensive Player of the Week after coming up with 11 tackles, eight of them solos. He also three tackles that resulted in lost yardage.
“This is a good, personal accomplishment for Freddie,” Bethany coach Paul Hubbard said. “He has been a consistent force up front and is always a guy the opposing offense has to account for. He is a wrecking ball at times and a joy to watch play the game of football.”
Frazier is a one-year player for the Swedes as he transferred in from MidAmerica Nazarene University.
