HUTCHINSON — Bethany College’s Aspen Bryant is in a class by herself.

The Swede sophomore won her third straight golf tournament on Tuesday at Hutchinson’s Carey Park and it was like she was playing a different course than everybody else.

Bryant shot a tremendous 70 on Tuesday during the second day of the Fall Midwest Invitational. Coupled with her 77 on Monday, she had a 147 total to win in 13-stroke runaway fashion.

“I can't say enough about all the girls, but the way Aspen has stepped up and led this team has been great,” Bethany coach Tyler Schiffelbein said. “Not too many players can say at any time in their college careers that they won three tournaments, but this is now the third semester in a row that she can say that, and to shoot 2-under- par and run away with the individual title by 13 shots, that really shows the caliber of player that she is."

Arianna Bryant shot 85-84-169. Other Swede scores were Lexi Pauls (99-93-192) and Rachel Meyer (100-104-204).
