A 75-year-old McPherson man was rushed to the hospital following a traffic accident Thursday afternoon.
According to the McPherson Police Department, the man was southbound on North High Drive when he crossed the roadway, striking a pedestrian guard rail, a gas meter, a school crossing sign and a tree before coming to a stop off of the roadway in the 800 block of North High Drive.
The first officer on the scene discovered the driver not breathing and started CPR until McPherson EMS personnel could arrive. The driver was transported to McPherson Hospital. No name was released, so a condition report could not be obtained.
