Bethany College has received a gift worth over $2 million from the estate of an alum who passed away in January.

It was announced that the estate of Lee Lundquist, who attended Bethany from 1940-1942 before he was enlisted into the Army, left $2.26 million to the school.

Lundquist studied business as Bethany and settled in Topeka after serving in the Army for 42 years. While at Bethany, Lundquist played basketball and was a member of the Pi Sigma Chi fraternity and the business club.

The gift is to be endowed to the dean of athletics.
