Pine Village in Moundridge is set to receive an award from the Kansas State Secretary on Aging this afternoon.
Secretary Kari Bruffett will present the continuing care facility with a PEAK Person-Centered Care Mentor Award this afternoon at 2:40 p.m. in the Wellness Center.
“Pine Village began its journey several years ago to become a person-centered care home and have worked very hard to change from the old school way of thinking about long-term care to make it truly about the individual,” Jim Huxman, Pine Village Administrator, said. “It will be an honor to have Secretary Bruffett on campus presenting this award!”
Pine Village is one of only nine homes across the state to receive this award.
