MHS spikers now 2-0 at state

SALINA — McPherson High’s volleyball team is now in a commanding position in pool play in the Class 4A Division I State Tournament this morning at the Bicentennial Center.

MHS, which had opened with an easy win over Wellington, moved to 2-0 this morning with a 25-22, 25-10 rout of Andale, dropping the Indians to 0-2 as they had lost earlier to Tonganoxie.

The Bullpups and Tongie play at 1:30 p.m. The Chieftians currently are playing Wellington and if they win match, that automatically puts McPherson and Tonganoxie into Saturday’s semifinals.
