The community build for the new Hess Park playground equipment has been rescheduled for this coming March.
Wayne Burns, McPherson City Director of Public Lands and Facilities, said volunteers will again be needed for the build, which is now planned for March 26, 2016.The city is looking for 100 volunteers in total.
“And that can be individuals, families, school groups, civic groups, football teams, volleyball teams, baseball teams,” Burns said. “We invite everybody.”
Volunteers will be needed for everything ranging from assembly of the equipment, itself, to landscaping, food services and even a DJ to play music throughout the day.
“There's ways for skills and experience of any kind to be put into good use,” Burns said.
