McPherson Hospital announced expanded hours for its Urgent Care Clinic, 823 North Main Street, on Wednesday.
Beginning Monday, the new hours for the clinic will be from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. The hours on Saturday will remain unchanged at 9 a.m. until noon.
“These expanded hours will allow us to see patients an additional 40 hours per week,” clinic manager Jennifer Alexander, APRN-C, said. “It's been shown that there is a need for the care we provide, and we want to be there for our patients as much as possible.”
The clinic, operated as an outpatient facility of McPherson Hospital, takes patients starting at 12 months of age on a walk-in basis. The staff is equipped to diagnose and treat minor and common illnesses such as influenza and cold, as well as minor burns and cuts, among other maladies.
All insurance accepted by the hospital is also accepted by the clinic, as well as cash, checks, debit and credit cards and Medicare or Medicaid.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
