Hesston duo headlines CKL volleyball team

HESSTON — Hesston High’s Kailey Jo Ince and Cami Richardson were the only unanimous picks today to the Central Kansas League volleyball first team.

They were joined on the first team by, among others, Smoky Valley’s Kate Deterding.

Other first-team picks were Alex Ratzlaff of Hillsboro, Sydney Wilson of Sterling, Breann Becker of Pratt, and Shyann Jackson and Sydney Bangert of Kingman.

Hesston’s Alaina Dunlavy and Smoky Valley’s Kelsie Anderson were picked to the second team. Others were Destani Garten of Pratt, Katelynn Stucky of Haven, Brianna Bradshaw of Kingman, Shannon Heiser of Hillsboro, Sarah Stallings of Sterling and Madyson Beckett of Halstead.

Honorable mention selections were headlined by Allison Rose of Smoky Valley and Kylie Brenneman of Hesston.

Completing the team were Bailey Bangert and Allie DeWeese of Kingman, Allyson Aldrich and Aarika Bright of Larned, Skylar Eidson and Sophie Mader of Nickerson, Maddie Troyer and Gabe Ediger of Haven, Kylah Comley of Sterling, Fiona James of Lyon, Bailey Batman of Pratt, Marisa Jonas of Hoisington and Mackenzie Matlack of Halstead.
