ASA to feature speaker on John W. Peterson

The American-Scandinavian Association will hold it's 41stannual dinner meeting later this month and reservations are due next week.

The featured speaker this year is Thomas G. Nelson, a Bethany College alumnus and former educator in Japan, who will present an illustrated history on composer John W. Peterson. Peterson is a Lindsborg native who passed away in 2006 and had a major influence on evangelical Christian music especially in the 1950s through the 1970s.

The meeting will be at 12:30 pm on Nov. 15 in the Pihblad Memorial Union at Bethany College. Advanced reservations are due Thursday and are $11 each and may be made to ASA president Dr. Duane Fredrickson at 785-227-3678.
