BETHANY, Okla. — The good news is that McPherson College’s 103-64 loss on Friday to Southern Nazarene doesn’t count on the Bulldogs’ record since it was an exhibition game.

The reason being Southern Nazarene is an NCAA Division II school, though it played like a D-I on this night.

Mac found itself down 52-24 at the half and while it did score 40 points in the second half, it found itself well out of it by making just 22 of 73 shots, an eyes-shielding 6 of 30 from 3-point.

Chris Crook led Mac with 14 points. Chris Lowe scored 10 off the bench. Southern Nazarene was white-hot, making 40 of 70 shots and an amazing 16 of 28 from 3-point. Six players hit for double figures.

The Bulldogs, who are still 2-0, host crosstown rival Central Christian College on Wednesday.

Mac (64) — Crook 14, Roberts 9, Martinez 9, Rowell 4, Lowe 10, Parker 7, Bachura 6, Whitten 5.

Southern Nazarene (103) — Rodriguez 16, Butler 15, Hukill 13, Willis 10, Starkey 6, Meggs 10, White 10, Newton 7, McGrady 6, Starkey 5, Stephens 3, Kankaanpaaa 2.
