The Traffic Stop: Turning

Loose Meaning: Drivers making turns whether right or left must signal the intention to turn with either a turn indicator or the correct hand signal and then turn into the lane nearest them going in the appropriate direction. Avoid wide turns and cutting corners. (Tractor-trailers are exempt as they must make wide turns.)

Drivers should check mirrors and the intersection to be sure it is clear before proceeding while yielding the right of way to those already occupying the lane.

In McPherson, the fine for an improper turn is $60, plus $75 Municipal Court Cost.
