If you're looking for a good cause, or causes, to donate to this holiday season, the Alternative Christmas Gift Market will be held this weekend in McPherson.

According to Susan Taylor, the market, which is celebrating its 11thyear, will feature 22 organizations.

“And each charity will have a boot to explain what they do,” Taylor said on KBBE's Friday Magazine. “The charities all help to meet human needs. Such as local charities like Circles of McPherson [County], Mt. Hope Sanctuary, as well as others with an international reach, like Church World Service.”

Tandy Wine, one of the original organizers for the market, added there is no overhead to your donations.

“As you designate so many dollars to each charity, we don't take anything off the top for organizing the event,” Wine said. “That money all goes to each charity as you designate.”

The McPherson Church of the Brethren sponsors the market, which will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Cedars Conference Center.
