HAYS — McPherson High graduate Kyler Kinnamon played an important role on Sunday in Fort Hays State’s 62-61 victory over the University of Sioux Falls.

With the Tigers trailing big in the first half, Kinnamon came off the bench to provide a spark as they climbed back into it.

Kinnamon finished with six points and three assists in 14 minutes of play. The former Bullpup All-State All-Class selection is the backup to All-American candidate Craig Nicholson, a former Derby star.

The Tigers are now 2-0 on the year, with the wins coming by a combined three points. They host Central Christian College of McPherson on Wednesday in an exhibition game.
