LAWRENCE — Kansas basketball player Brannen Greene has returned to a familiar spot.

The doghouse.

KU coach Bill Self announced today the junior reserve sharpshooter, who was 5 for 5 from 3-point and scored 18 points in the team’s first game and then 6 of 6 at the line against Michigan State, has been suspended for six games for “conduct detrimental to the team.”

Greene will, however, be allowed to practice with the team. He won’t be making the upcoming trip to Hawaii though.

Greene is now three-for-three in suspensions, being suspended both his freshmen and sophomore years. He didn’t play in KU’s regular-season finale last year against Oklahoma and was suspended a game his freshmen year for “a pattern of irresponsible behavior.”
