Elyria's Junior Eagles edged

Elyria Christian School’s boys were outlasted 31-26 on Thursday by Central Christian Academy in junior high basketball action.

It was just a one-point game going into the fourth quarter, but Central Christian then outscored the Junior Eagles, 9-6.

“The boys gave tremendous effort. It was a back-and-forth game that could have gone either way,” Elyria coach Ernie Heikes said.

Josef Hobson led Elyria with 12 points.
